There is nothing that inspires my heart as much as crocheting does. Even learning from other designers' tutorials leaves endless sparks within me, igniting countless images of how the new technique might be used with what I already know. Just like mere browsing through the collections of yarn and threads in a shop makes me want to start a new project or ten almost instantly. Whenever I close my eyes, the first thing that comes up to the surface of my inner vision is a fractal-like lace pattern or a doily, reminiscent of an intricate snowflake. I think it's high time that I shared some ideas with you.
The world is so full of inspiration these days. There are sites where one can read designers' notes on colour palettes with intriguing names, countless craft boards on Pinterest where one feeds on and gets filled to the brim with fresh ideas, and the Instagram users from all over the world eagerly sharing their own designs, as well as the masterpieces that they adore or envy. Frankly speaking, nowadays it's hard NOT to become obsessed with the art of creation. Moreover, learning new things has also been made so simple - it takes only a few clicks for anyone to start learning from the best crochet designers or to spice up an ancient technique with a modern touch.
I guess it's only natural to brush up whatever skills I have, to learn as much as I can learn from more advanced crocheters and share my progress and my patterns with you as I'm diving in deeper and deeper. In this blog I intend to keep track of having fun with different types of yarn and various crochet techniques, to post current works in progress and my thoughts about them, as well as share about crochet art that I admire most. Welcome!
